The season is officially underway — and what a vibrant start it’s been! Seeing our U6 nippers hit the sand with beaming smiles and boundless energy was pure joy. The following weekend, our U7–U14 crew joined the action, and the staggered start gave our youngest members and their families a chance to settle in beautifully. The beach is buzzing again!

A huge shoutout to our incredible Age Managers who’ve already stepped up with enthusiasm and care. Your commitment is the backbone of our nippers program — thank you for helping shape confident, capable young lifesavers. Many hands really do make light work!

Freshie Shines at the Coolangatta Gold

We were proud to see Freshie so strongly represented at this year’s Coolangatta Gold. Our team and individual competitors tackled fierce onshore winds and punishing soft sand with grit and heart. Keep an eye out for a full race recap from one of our open competitors — it’s a great read and a testament to the Freshie spirit.

Friends of Freshie – Community Champions

I was honoured to attend the Friends of Freshie AGM on 30 October. It was a fantastic opportunity to share our vision for future facilities and hear their enthusiastic support. This group does phenomenal work securing grants, enhancing our natural environment, and ensuring our plans reflect the community’s needs. We’re lucky to have them in our corner.
