It was very special afternoon down at Tugan Beach on Sunday 29th March 2026.  Our Reserve Women, the Freshwater Freaks, had a great few races leading up to the final.  Holding on to second place the whole way around the cans, the girls found a wave no one else could hold, and finished the 2026 season Australian Champions!

The excitement didn’t stop there.  Not even a minute later Nathan and the Reserve Men, Freshwater Pigs, were on the line for their final.  The boys had the lead going out, but had to work all the way to the line to secure their WIN!

Nathan Perry came away from these Australian Championships with three Australian Golds!
